Accounting Advisor

Key responsibilities

1. Lead financial modeling, investment appraisals, and business case development for CAPEX projects, providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic investment decisions.
2. Drive the annual CAPEX planning and budgeting process, developing standardized evaluation frameworks, financial forecasts, and governance mechanisms in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
3. Monitor and control CAPEX performance against approved budgets, track project milestones, and ensure accurate asset capitalization and compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards.
4. Evaluate, validate, and report project savings, ROI metrics, and business benefits, ensuring alignment with organizational performance targets and value creation objectives.
5. Deliver insightful financial analysis, management reports, variance reviews, and performance dashboards to support senior leadership decision-making and strategic planning.
6. Partner with finance, engineering, operations, procurement, and project teams to strengthen financial governance, optimize capital allocation, enhance project controls, and drive continuous business improvement initiatives.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
2. Professional qualification or progression in CA, CIMA, or ACCA will be a distinct advantage.
3. Strong experience in financial analysis, budgeting, investment appraisal, CAPEX management, and business partnering.
4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, dashboards, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
5. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, M3, or similar platforms.
6. Strong analytical, stakeholder management, reporting, and project management skills.
