Accountant

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC which is one of the most profitable blue-chip companies in Sri Lanka, the market leader in the local lubricant industry, an employer of choice and part of the global energy giant – Chevron Corporation, USA., has the following vacancy in its Finance Division.

Accountant – Your key responsibilities:

preparation of financial reports, general ledger maintenance and periodic closure of books in compliance with financial reporting standards (includes US GAAP), support preparation of in-depth variance analysis and periodic management reports for review. A key element of your responsibility would also include handling of direct / indirect taxes and attending to tax compliance matters of the Company.

Ideal candidate should possess:

• Full qualification from a recognized accounting body (ICASL/CIMA/ACCA/CMASL).

• A degree from a reputed University preferably in either business administration / management or commerce would be an added advantage. (inclusive of Accounting modules).

• Minimum 5 years of prior similar experience in a reputed company.

• Ability to work in an ERP enabled business environment preferably SAP and proficiency in MS office packages (especially proficiency in MS Excel).

• Strong business /financial acumen, analytical skill and the ability to meet strict timelines.

• Excellent communication and team working skills for cross functional collaboration.
