Accountant

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee the overall finance function.
2. Prepare monthly, annual financial statements and management reports.
3. Manage GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
4. Oversee and manage all tax-related matters of the organization.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the annual audit process.
6. Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability, and provide financial analysis to management.
7. Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.
8. Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and statutory requirements.
9. Liaise with banks, government institutions, suppliers, and clients on finance-related matters.
10. Perform any other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
6. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
