Requirements

• Degree / HND / diploma or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a quantity surveyor is mandatory.
• Experience in Water Board / water supply projects and other civil construction projects.
• Very good practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs and site measurements.
• Strong knowledge of variance analysis, rate analysis, cost estimation, budgeting and cost control.
• Sound knowledge of interim valuations, variations, claims and final account preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Key responsibilities

• BOQ preparation and review; quantity take-offs and site measurements.
• Cost estimates, budgets, rate analyses, variance analysis and project cost control.
• Interim payment applications, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Material reconciliation, subcontractor evaluations, cost reports and project forecasts.
• Coordination with engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
