Trainee | Assistant Engineer

Megakem Engineering (Private) Limited—Sri Lanka’s leading manufacturer and applicator of construction chemicals, operating both locally and overseas, and a proud member of Wardena Venture Holdings (Private) Limited—is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee / Assistant Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site waterproofing and construction-related activities.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and progress reports.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to application teams.
• Monitor project timelines and support timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma or NVQ level 5 in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum one (01) year experience in the construction field.
• Sound knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and site management practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the country.
