Embedded engineer

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated embedded engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development with hands-on experience in Linux-based systems, Xilinx tools, and RTOS environments. You will work on designing, developing, and testing embedded systems for high-performance applications in an agile, collaborative setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for microcontroller- and processor-based systems. Assist with firmware debugging, testing, and validation.
• Assist with firmware debugging, hardware-software integration, testing, and validation.
• Participate in code reviews and software quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functional with hardware and systems engineering teams.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and test reports.

Requirements

Must-haves

• Programming: Proficiency in embedded C or C++.
• Scripting & automation: Strong Python programming skills for developing automated test scripts and tooling.
• Operating systems: Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems.

Nice-to-haves (preferred skill set)

• RTOS: Solid understanding of RTOS principles, with hands-on experience in FreeRTOS.
• Embedded Linux: Working knowledge of PetaLinux or the Yocto project.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing: Familiarity with Robot Framework or other automated embedded testing frameworks.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
