Denim Wash Technician

Key tasks and duties

• Manage wet and dry denim processing, including PP spray, whisker/hand-brushing, grinding, and resin applications.
• Create and test innovative wash recipes, formulas, and shade/hand-feel effects.
• Ensure bulk production matches buyer approval standards for shade consistency, shrinkage, and quality.
• Diagnose and rectify technical issues during production regarding fabric behavior, machine settings, and chemical reactions.
• Monitor safe and efficient chemical usage, adhering strictly to health, safety, and eco-friendly standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in textile engineering, chemistry, or apparel technology (preferred).
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a denim wash technician in an apparel washing plant.
• Deep practical knowledge of denim washing chemistry, machinery operations, and effluent/safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with QA and production teams.
• Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of washing dry process including resin.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
