Assistant Manager – QC | Quality Control Executive

At Samagi Spice Exports (Pvt) Ltd, the proud owner of the SPICEUP brand, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Control team.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for overall quality control & quality assurance for carbonated beverage production.
• Maintain raw materials, in-process and finished goods testing (Brix, CO2, pH, acidity, taste, color).
• Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and SLS standards.
• Prepare and maintain QC documentation, COA, batch records, and lab reports for local & export shipments.
• Work closely with R&D for new flavour development and stability testing.
• Control lab equipment calibration and handle internal & external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka food act and export country regulations (EU / Middle East / USA).

Applicant profile

• BSc in food science & technology, chemistry, or related field.
• 2-5 years experience in beverage / food / bottling industry is a must (carbonated soft drink experience is a major advantage).
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP.
• Experience with lab equipment – pH meter, Brix meter, autoclave, spectrophotometer.
• Strong documentation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Age below 35 preferred.
