Accounts Executive (Manufacturing Industry)

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Executive with expertise in financial reporting to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring full compliance with reporting standards, and providing management with critical financial insights.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
2. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
3. Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee period-end closing processes
4. Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for reporting differences
5. Coordinate audit activities and liaise with internal and external auditors
6. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
7. Perform reconciliations and ensure timely preparation of financial documentation

Required qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting or a similar accounting role (preferably in manufacturing)
3. Professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA) will be an added advantage
4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/SLFRS) and tax compliance requirements in Sri Lanka
5. Hands-on experience with SAP will be a definite advantage
6. Strong proficiency in MS Office packages and accounting software
7. Age below 35 years
