Job responsibility

1. Research potential vendors & have a knowledge of a wide supplier database
2. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
3. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
4. Track orders and ensure timely delivery
5. Review quality of purchased products
6. Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
7. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
8. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
9. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
10. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Requirements and skills

1. Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
2. Experience with an ERP system and MS Word packages
3. Understanding of supply chain procedures
4. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
5. Negotiation skills
6. Qualification in logistics, business administration or relevant field will be an advantage
7. Applicants should live in close proximity to Mount Lavinia.
