Assistant Accountant
EL TORO Roofing Products Limited is the first company in Sri Lanka to manufacture Ceiling, Partitioning, and related accessories using 100% eco-friendly raw materials. We set up a state – of the art production facility located in Chilaw.
We are looking for an experienced young male/female based in the Colombo business office, who will be responsible for the General Ledger of the company, review of GLs, and preparation of monthly financial statements ensuring the right information is given to the top management. The selected person will also be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the finance department with the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements for the management
- Liaising with external and internal auditors
- Payment Authorization
- Assist with corporate income tax computation
- Ensure compliance by submitting the necessary information to regulatory authorities
- Assist in ERP financial and business module developments with valuable inputs
- Preparation of annual budgets and carrying out monthly reviews and necessary revisions
- Assist in performing product costing and setting prices for the final products
- Ensuring proper controls for business operations and financial information are reordered accurately in GL
Requirements
- A professional qualification from a recognized institution (CASL/CIMA etc )
- Minimum three years of working experience in a relevant capacity
- Ability to work in an ERP system
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Sound knowledge in MS Office
- Good analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills
