Head of Legal (Attorney at Law) – Banking and Finance Industry

Our client Non-banking Finance Company and a member of well-established and a reputed conglomerate in Sri Lanka is currently looking for Qualified and Experienced profiles to join their team as Head of Legal.

Key Requirements:

• Attorney at Law with a Minimum of 12 years post qualified experience in which 4 — 5 years experience in a managerial capacity in a Banking / Non-Banking Finance company
• Possesses the Company Secretarial. Notary Public at the Jurisdiction of Colombo
• Commissioner for Oaths license in both Sinhala & English
• High level of integrity, ethical conduct, professionalism, and leadership. interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in both writing and verbal communication in English and Sinhala; Tamil would be a plus
• Ability to provide business-focused legal advice, analyze related legal risks, and new development in laws and regulations, and closely advise top management on ongoing legal cases/actions
• Ensure to review \ and update legal documents on par with legal compliances and provide both written and oral opinions on legal issues and intellectual property management
• Represents the company management in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings, and in negotiations with the relevant Authorities
• A degree \ master’s would be an added advantage
