Tasks & responsibilities

• Being a part of a dynamic team to advocate for sustainable development
• Designing, and implementing research projects and clients assignments
• Fundraising for research grants and client work
• Managing assignments
• Mentoring team members
• Carrying out policy influencing and outreach activities to various audiences
• Networking and building partnerships

Qualifications & skills of a successful candidate

• A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as natural resource management, sustainable development, ecological economics, or equivalent
• At least 8-10 years of relevant professional work experience carrying out research and policy analysis, with preferred experience in environmental science, and sustainable development linked to socio-economic aspects
• Team and project management experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and fluency in either Sinhala or Tamil languages (Trilingual skills will be a definite advantage)
• Be energetic, creative, innovative, and passionate about creating change.
