Engineer- Production

Foreign-owned Electronic / Engineering Company manufacturing Fibre Optic / Copper cable systems and precision components for export requires an Engineer – Production

The candidates’ responsibilities will be as follows. but not limited to:

• Reading engineering and cable harness drawings (Fibre and Copper)
• Knowledge of standards associated with components. (IPC, UL, CSA, BS, MIL)
• Creating BOMs, Sourcing components, and sending out RFQs
• Sourcing correct tooling for new projects
• Creation of Quotations and product costings
• Responsible for assigned project Work Procedures
• Maintaining project folders
• Monitoring assigned projects from Quotation to Delivery

The candidate should possess the following:

• Qualified or Part Qualified Engineering Degree, Diploma, or Certificate course preferably in the discipline of Electronic / Electrical / Mechanical /
  Mechatronics fields
• Capable of fluently speaking and writing in English
• Capable of efficiently using Microsoft Excel for the purpose of costings
• The use of an ERP system or similar software should be second nature
• The ability to grasp situations quickly in order to find solutions
• The enthusiasm to stay organized, and read around the subject while creating and working with a plan
• At least 3 Years of Experience working with similar responsibilities

The candidate must be dedicated in order to meet strict deadlines that may occasionally call to work extended hours.

Non-essential added advantages:

• Prior experience in working with Fibre Optics or Wire Harnesses.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Independent mode of travel.

Necessary initial guidance will be given, after which the candidate should have the ability to attend to projects independently and responsibly.
