Senior Student Counsellor

Key responsibilities

1. Provide professional counselling to students regarding overseas education opportunities, university selection, and career pathways.
2. Guide students on admission requirements, course selection, and application procedures for international universities.
3. Assist students with documentation, application submissions, SOPs, and interview preparation.
4. Handle student concerns and provide end-to-end support during the admission process.
5. Participate in educational exhibitions, university events, and promotional activities.
6. Stay updated with international education trends, visa policies, and university requirements.
7. Conduct student consultations via in-person meetings, phone calls, email, and online platforms.

Profile / requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, education, management, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in student counselling, overseas education consultancy, or university admissions.
3. Strong knowledge of UK, USA, Australia, and international education systems.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Sinhala.
5. Tamil speaking is an added advantage.
6. Experience in handling student visa guidance and application processes.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and email communication.
8. Strong counselling, negotiation, and customer service skills.
9. Ability to work under targets and deadlines.
