We are now entering an exciting new chapter of growth with the launch of electric scooters and the establishment of a local & imported rice trading division.
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead our sales and marketing operations across these business ventures.
The opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of sales and marketing strategy across three exciting business lines, utilizing modern tools, technologies and strategies to drive growth, market presence and profitability.
- Motorcycle spare parts: Grow and strengthen our well-established, island-wide distribution network.
- Electric scooters: Lead the go-to-market launch of our brand-new electric scooter range.
- Rice trading (local & imported): Build a sales and marketing strategy from the ground up for this new venture.
Key responsibilities
Strategy & leadership
- Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies across all three business verticals.
- Set sales targets, marketing budgets, and KPIs and report performance to senior management.
- Recruit, train and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team.
Motorcycle spare parts
- Strengthen and expand island-wide dealer and distributor networks.
- Identify new growth opportunities based on market and customer needs.
Electric scooters (new launch)
- Plan and execute the product launch, including dealer onboarding, pricing strategy, and promotional campaigns.
- Build market awareness and educate customers on the benefits of electric scooters.
Rice trading (new venture)
- Develop a market entry, branding and distribution strategy for local and imported rice.
- Identify and build relationships with suppliers, buyers and retail/wholesale channels.
Modern & digital marketing
- Lead digital marketing efforts – social media, SEO, online advertising, e-commerce and CRM systems – to build a strong, modern brand presence across all business lines.
- Use data and analytics to continuously track performance and refine strategy.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field.
- MBA / PG diploma in marketing is an advantage.
- 5+ years of proven experience in sales and marketing, ideally within automotive, spare parts, FMCG or distribution industries.
- A demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Experience launching new products or entering new markets is a strong advantage.
- Strong command of modern marketing tools and technologies (digital marketing, social media, CRM, analytics platforms).
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel island-wide; a valid driving licence is required.
- Fluency in Sinhala and English (working knowledge of Tamil is an added advantage).
