Purpose

This is a new role within our English Language Learning Division at Pearson. Our mission is to help committed learners master the English language so they can take their next big step in life: a new job, studying at a university abroad, or migrating to a new country. We have an exciting portfolio of products to enable us to achieve this, from engaging courseware, assessments that build confidence, and certification that gives learners proof of their achievements, such as the Pearson Test of English.

As a Marketing Executive for this region, you will work hand in hand with our regional marketing and sales teams to accelerate our South Asia markets performance. You will have experience in activating brand and product campaigns at a local and regional level, with the ideal candidate, has worked in a multinational organization that has its presence in Nepal and Pakistan, managing products/services relevant to South Asia Hub Countries

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will use your creative, design, and organizational skills to help adapt the global campaigns to be suitable for your markets and execute our marketing plan flawlessly. To succeed you will need to liaise with colleagues across Group Marketing, Regional Marketing, and our external agency partners.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support marketing and sales manager to deliver our regional ‘big bet’ campaigns.
  • Execute day-to-day tasks including creating and designing marketing channel highlights, digital materials, newsletters, power-point presentations, webinars, and events
  • Create content for owned digital channels and manage communications with followers
  • Be responsible for raising Purchase Orders and reporting costs in the Campaign budget tracker
  • Proactively work with and distribute marketing materials to partners in markets and follow up to ensure we maximize usage
  • Build close working relationships across the group and regional marketing, and with other key stakeholders across the organization
  • Follow up or respond to marketing queries
  • Lead by example, demonstrating great behaviors every day: always curious, always collaborative, positively influencing, can-do attitude, and a sense of fun.

Candidate Profile

Competencies

  • 2-8 years experience working in a multinational organization that has its presence in Nepal and Pakistan, managing products/services relevant to South Asia Hub Countries
  • You have a great passion for building brands and innovative campaigns and activations. Experience in the digital or social media space is a bonus
  • Marketing communications expertise and excellent copywriting skills, both in first language and English
  • Track record of developing and optimizing campaigns, with an understanding of the country landscape
  • Good understanding of local consumers and customers and what it will take to ensure they choose Pearson
  • Experience in executing promo campaigns across different channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint with the ability to produce professional and high-quality presentations
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Familiar with YouTube Analytics, Google AdWords, Adobe Analytics, and SEO principles
  • Excellent relationship builder with both internal and external teams
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and creative; thrives on thinking outside of the box Action-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves approach”.
  • Evident fluency in the English Language, being confident in speaking, reading, and writing communication.

Education, Qualifications & Training

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred, you may also benefit from holding a professional Marketing qualification
