Senior Executive – Technical Operations

We are looking for a highly accomplished, passionate individual to join the MATRIX team as a Senior Executive – Technical Operations, to provide technical guidance to technicians and sample operators in order to develop the most effective sew- ing methods whilst ensuring quality requirements are met thereby, facilitating the smooth functioning of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze pre-production samples for new styles and identify possible production/ technical issues whilst, proposing preventive measures to make necessary adjustments for the bulk production process and prepare the “do-ability sample” in the Pilot Module.
  • Follow-up on machine pre-settings/ pre-training prior to the commencement of production by coordinating with the relevant departments/ teams.
  • Conduct internal pre-production meetings for the team and explain relevant information such as critical points, tech pack details, and trim cards to the relevant personnel prior to the commencement of bulk production.
  • Follow up on the line feeding process in order to ensure output meets the right quality, and quantity and set targets for both team leaders and line feeders.
  • Ensure the required output is achieved within the stipulated time frame as per the accepted standards whilst discussing with the relevant persons concerned to ensure maximum production output with the Accepted Quality Level.
  • Coordinate with the team whilst directing and guiding them to resolve issues that may arise in areas such as production/ consumption in order to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Regular inspection of machinery to ensure availability of required guards and other control measures. Promote kaizens and problem-solving exercises to enhance the safety performance of the department.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as SOPS, compliance standards, health & safety, and 5S whilst leading MOS initiatives within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Textile or any relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of knitting and sewing technology.
  • Pattern measuring and adjustment knowledge.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
