Marketing associate | coordinator | marketing executive

Talentra People Management Solutions is on a headhunt for dynamic and results-oriented individuals for their client, a reputed company in the freight forwarding & logistics industry in Bambalapitiya.

The role

The selected candidates will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the company’s growth in freight forwarding and logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics sector
• Generate leads through cold calling, networking, client visits and other business development initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Promote freight forwarding, air freight, sea freight, courier, customs clearance and related logistics solutions
• Prepare quotations and coordinate with internal teams to provide effective solutions to customers
• Follow up on leads, quotations and business opportunities to achieve agreed sales targets
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads and sales activities
• Achieve individual and team sales and business development objectives

Qualifications & experience

• Diploma / degree or professional qualification in logistics, supply chain management, marketing, business management or a related field
• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics sales, marketing or business development is mandatory
• Candidates with relevant industry exposure and strong business development potential are encouraged to apply where designation can be negotiated
• Good knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics services will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer orientation with the ability to build and maintain business relationships
• Target-driven, proactive and self-motivated personality
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel for client visits when required
