Lecturer (Probationary)

We are looking for passionate & knowledgeable professionals to inspire and guide the next generation of students. If you have expertise in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you!

1. Big data (technologies, architectures, analytics)
2. Data analytics (statistical modelling, ML/AI applications, business intelligence)
3. Data governance and security (data privacy, ethics, compliance, regulatory frameworks, secure data handling)
4. UX/UI focus, software development practices (DevOps concepts), quality assurance and testing
5. Cloud infrastructure and platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), virtualization concepts (VMs, containers, hypervisors), cloud economics and management
6. Ethical hacking and offensive security (penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessment, social engineering attacks and prevention, capture the flag (CTF) practice), defensive security and cyber defense (cyber forensic)
7. Deep learning (neural networks, CNN, RNN), natural language processing (NLP), time series analysis & forecasting, optimization techniques for data science.

The role

1. Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures, design curriculum, and prepare course materials.
2. Foster a collaborative learning environment through engaging & interactive classroom activities.
3. Work closely with the department head to create industry learning opportunities and exposure for students.
4. Introduce and suggest innovative learning techniques to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

Lecturer

1. A bachelor’s degree with honours in the relevant subject, with first class or second class (upper division).
2. AND
3. A two-year master’s degree with a research component in the relevant domain.
4. WITH
5. At least six (06) years of experience in one or more of the following:
6. Teaching at university level.
7. Industry experience.
8. Research in a recognized institution.

Lecturer-probationary

1. A bachelor’s degree with honours in the relevant subject, with first class or second class (upper division).
2. AND
3. Should possess a postgraduate diploma level in a 02-year research-based master’s degree in the relevant domain.
4. WITH
5. At least three (03) years of experience in one or more of the following:
6. Teaching at university level.
7. Professional experience.
8. Research in a recognized institution.
