About the company

At LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd., established in 2008, we operate one of the largest manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, specialising in the production of solid, press-on, resilient, skid-steer, and custom-designed tyres that meet international standards. Our tyres are proudly exported to over 50 countries, including the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore, and India.

Key responsibilities

1. Monitor and coordinate daily tyre manufacturing operations to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
2. Ensure production activities comply with company quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
3. Monitor machine performance, production efficiency, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
4. Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
5. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, raw materials, machinery, and utilities to maximize productivity.
6. Ensure adherence to 5S practices, housekeeping standards, and workplace safety requirements throughout the production area.
7. Assist in training operators and shop-floor personnel on standard operating procedures and safety requirements.

Candidate profile

1. NDT or diploma in polymer science from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum 1 – 2 years work experience in similar capacity.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
4. Strong problem solving, decision making, manpower planning, handling and process improvements.
5. Self-motivated and out of the box thinking.
6. Good communication, leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
