ECHEM Educations is one of Sri Lanka’s leading A/L education brands, reaching tens of thousands of students through physical, online, and digital learning platforms. As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven chief operating officer (COO) to lead and optimize the organization’s day-to-day operations, drive strategic execution, and ensure operational excellence across all departments.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee all operational functions across the organization.
2. Develop and implement business strategies, systems, and processes.
3. Drive organizational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
4. Establish and monitor KPIs across departments.
5. Ensure effective collaboration among academic, HR, finance, administration, logistics, marketing, and student support teams.
6. Build and mentor high-performing leadership teams.
7. Identify operational risks and implement practical solutions.
8. Support business expansion, innovation, and long-term growth initiatives.

Requirements

1. Master’s degree in business administration, management, or related field.
2. 10-15 years proven experience in a senior management or operational leadership role.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
5. Experience in education service industries will be an added advantage.
6. Ability to manage multiple departments and business functions effectively.
