Field Extension Officers

Processing over 180,000 liters of fresh milk per day, Cargill dairy facilities are equipped with the latest technology in processing and comprehensive food safety, quality, and environmental management systems certified under ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards. Your key responsibilities will embody:
- Establish village-level milk producers’ societies in potential villages
- Manage the milk collection routes
- Manage the milk chilling center activities
- Monitor the milk payments made by the societies
- Involved in dairy development activities such as farmer training programs, fodder cultivation, grass conservation, etc.
- Monitor the society functions (Milk quality, quantity, etc,)
- Encourage new farmers to join the societies
- Liaise with public and private sector institutions In order to facilitate an uninterrupted and smooth milk procurement operation.
Pre- Requisites for applicants:
- BSC. Degree, Diploma in Animal Husbandry or Agriculture from a, recognized university or a professional institution as well as a Certification in Trained Artificial Inseminators
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field
- Should be below 35 years of age
- Should process good communication skills in English and Sinhala/ Tamil and a valid motorbike license
