Duties & responsibilities

  1. Drive sales growth of existing Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation products through the customer web portal.
  2. Identify, recommend, and onboard new digital products to expand the online product portfolio.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns that attract target audiences and increase online conversions.
  4. Work closely with the IT department to introduce additional products, enhance portal functionality, and improve service availability on the customer web portal.
  5. Establish and manage digital partnerships with government institutions to promote products through online channels.
  6. Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvements in the digital direct channel.
  7. Lead digital transformation initiatives related to the customer web portal, including obtaining business approvals for system enhancements, coordinating UI/UX improvements, and overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to go-live.

Qualifications & pre-requisites

  1. Masters degree/ post graduate diploma / degree/ special degree/ professional qualification or equivalent in insurance, marketing, or business management from a university/institute approved by the UGC.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant field in executive grade.
  3. Leadership experience in sales channels and stakeholder partnerships, preferably in public-private or SME sectors, would be an added advantage.
  4. Proficiency in digital transformation and IT project coordination.
  5. Knowledge of digital tools such as mobile apps, CRM systems, and distribution portals.
  6. Strong capability in UI design and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  7. Strong business analysis skills with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.
  8. Exposure to digital marketing, social media, and customer engagement.
  9. Strategic thinking with ability to drive change.
  10. Strong communication, training, and presentation skills in Sinhala and English.
