Pidilite Lanka (Private) Limited, a top-tier manufacturer based at Colombo and a joint venture between Mumbai’s Pidilite Industries and Sri Lanka’s Macbertan Holdings Ltd, is on the hunt for dynamic Area Sales Managers for North, East, Uva and North-Western Region.

Job description

1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the assigned region.
2. Lead, mentor, and supervise a dynamic sales team, fostering high performance and motivation.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with leadership to drive BTL (below-the-line) objectives tailored to the region.
5. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
6. Oversee the implementation of sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring effective execution.
7. Monitor and report on sales performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Candidate profile

1. Minimum 8 years of experience in sales & marketing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
2. Industry experience in paints, adhesives, cement, construction chemicals, or other building materials is preferred.
3. Educational qualifications: Passed G.C.E. O/L, A/L, with full or part qualifications in CIM/SLIM or a university degree (an added advantage).
4. Age below 40 years.
5. Strong managerial and supervisory skills with excellent interpersonal communication in English and Sinhala.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The remuneration package will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
