Closing on: Mar 30, 2027

Medfuture is seeking an experienced, highly analytical and detail-oriented manager – legal, compliance & non-financial audit to lead our independent legal & compliance unit from our Medfuture global office in Sri Lanka. This is a senior governance and assurance position supporting Medfuture’s healthcare recruitment operations across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting directly to the CEO/director, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining independent oversight of Medfuture’s legal administration, regulatory compliance, non-financial internal audits, documentation governance, candidate and placement compliance, CRM/ATS integrity, contracts, privacy, complaints, risk, insurance and related compliance matters. This is not a recruitment or sales position. The role acts as an independent control function, auditing business operations and ensuring identified compliance risks are documented, escalated, corrected and independently verified.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Medfuture’s risk-based non-financial internal audit program across Australian and New Zealand operations.
  • Conduct process, documentation, candidate-file and CRM/ATS compliance audits across recruitment divisions.
  • Independently audit candidate credentialing, consent, mandatory documentation, professional registration and pre-commencement/ongoing compliance controls.
  • Maintain Medfuture’s controlled documentation and archive management framework.
  • Manage the contract & agreement register, including client agreements, supplier contracts, NDAs, approved templates, renewals and expiries.
  • Maintain statutory, regulatory, licence and compliance registers for relevant Australian and New Zealand operations.
  • Audit CRM/ATS data integrity, mandatory fields, candidate consent, submissions, placements, compliance status and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain policy and SOP governance, version control and scheduled reviews.
  • Manage compliance complaints, incidents, breaches, investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate internal administration of IR/ER matters, disputes and litigation with management and external legal advisers where required.
  • Monitor privacy, information-handling, data-breach and retention controls.
  • Maintain insurance, legal/compliance risk and regulatory-change registers.
  • Operate Medfuture’s consolidated compliance calendar covering critical renewals, expiries and regulatory deadlines.
  • Escalate material compliance failures and legal risks directly to the CEO.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly legal, risk, audit & compliance reports and executive dashboards.

Requirements

We are seeking a professional with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Strong experience from ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
  • Compliance | internal audit | legal administration | governance | risk management | regulatory compliance.
  • A bachelor’s degree in law, business, governance, risk, compliance, human resources or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience within healthcare, recruitment, professional services or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, professional judgement, confidentiality, investigative ability, strong written English, report-writing capability and confidence in independently challenging process failures.
  • Experience auditing CRM/ATS or other enterprise systems will be advantageous.
  • You are someone with proficiency in all 3 modes of English proficiency since your service will be targeted to Australia & New Zealand.
  • You are someone having legal / or compliance background.
  • You must be comfortable working independently and reporting directly to senior management.
  • You should be someone who does not simply identify that a document is missing—you determine why the control failed, assess the risk, establish corrective action, obtain evidence, verify remediation and prevent recurrence.
  • You will be expected to maintain high professional standards while working with teams supporting two regulated healthcare markets.
