Product Development Engineer

GRI is a leading specialty tire producer in Sri Lanka. We have been supplying tires to more than 50 countries worldwide since 2002. GRI has sales offices in the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, the Baltics, and Australia. We produce high-performance tires for Agriculture, Material Handling, and Construction vehicles. We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the following vacancy immediately at our Factory located in Badalgama.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordination with Sales & Marketing and Collection of VOC and make CR
• Benchmark analysis and developing product Design to cost/Market leadership on performance
• Process Feasibility study
• Preparing DFMEA
• Preparation of cavity dimension and carcass structure sharing input to the mold design team
• Tread pattern design analysis through simulation
• Preparation of Tire Engineering Specification (Compoundi Carcass structure, Tread/SW profile, Cure cycle) share with Pl for proto
• Creating a test protocol for Indoor & Outdoor
• Proto Analysis and tune TES for next stage (Pilot & Regular release)
• Weekly NPD tracker
• Field visit to study the product performance

The ideal candidate will possess the following key drivers:

• BSc Engineering / BE with min 5 Years experience in Pneumatic tires
• Knowledge of Product Application and Market overview as its customized field
• Basic understanding of VOC (voice of customer) & conversion to CR (customer requirement)
• Knowledge of Tire standards (ETRTO, JATMA T&RA, etc…)
• Knowledge of Tire Engineering (CSF, BSE Pattern design & Simulation)
• Knowledge of Tire Homologation
• Knowledge of Tire processes & Compounding
• Knowledge of DFMEA & PFMEA
• Knowledge of Basic Tire testing [Indoor & Outdoor)
