Area Manager- Agro Division

We are looking for a proactive, result in oriented and energetic individual in the field of Sales & Marketing who is passionate about achieving a rewarding career in one of the most prestigious conglomerates in the country. As an Area Manager attached to the Agro Division of Lankem Ceylon PLC, the incumbent will ensure the achievement of annual budgets for the Agro product portfolio.

The selected candidate shall:

• Develop and execute Competitive sales strategies to drive the Company budget.
• Motivate and guide sales staff to achieve the budgeted revenues with predefined timelines.
• Maintain strict adherence to company pricing and credit policy whilst ensuring collection of outstanding dues from designated customers before the credit term from the date of invoice and ensure no return cheques.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing and R & D teams to develop sales strategies in order to improve market share in all product lines.
• Possess up-to-date knowledge on market trends/competitor initiatives and update the Head of Sales on significant developments whilst recommending proactive/reactive remedies.
• Maintain a high level of PR skills with relevant stakeholders in establishing a strong business rapport.
• Prepare and provide necessary sales reports and other required MI to the Senior Management.

Prerequisites:

• A Degree or a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized University coupled with a sales/marketing qualification
• Experience in a similar capacity within the Agro sector will be a definite advantage
• Resilient in IT skills and excellent presentation skills
• Willingness to travel
• Team player with a pleasing personality and a CAN-DO attitude
• Preferably a male candidate below the age of 45 years. The pay and benefits of the above position will be competitive, and the rewards are performance driven
