Business Development Executive
We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team and drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and support the operational functions that underpin our project delivery.
About the role
A client-facing, commercially minded role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and keeping a growing business running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll work directly with leadership to expand our client base, manage key accounts, and handle the operational coordination that supports our development teams. If you’re equally comfortable pitching to a prospective client and coordinating a project delivery, you’ll fit right in.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and market research to grow the company’s client base.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, serving as a key point of contact for communications and project updates.
- Draft and prepare project proposals, tender submissions, and pitch documents to a high professional standard.
- Coordinate software development projects from initiation to delivery, liaising between clients and internal teams.
- Contribute to the company’s marketing efforts, including content creation, social media, and improving visibility in target markets.
- Support day-to-day business administration, including internal documentation, coordination with finance, and maintaining project records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in business development, project management, operations, or a related discipline.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate confidently and clearly with international clients and organisations.
- Strong writing skills with experience producing professional documents such as proposals, reports, or contracts.
- A commercially aware mindset with the confidence to engage prospective clients and represent the company externally.
- Solid organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise across competing deadlines.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
- A proactive, self-directed work style suited to a lean team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience working in or alongside a software development or IT services company.
- Exposure to digital marketing, SEO, or social media management.
- Experience with public sector or INGO procurement and tender processes.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, project management platforms, or CRM systems.
