Operating a state-of-the-art facility in Ekala, we serve leading international retail brands by delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. We are seeking a highly responsible, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Compliance Officer to maintain our industry-leading operational, ethical, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Regulatory & statutory compliance: Ensure all plant operations in Ekala strictly adhere to Sri Lankan labor laws, environmental regulations, and corporate statutory requirements.
2. Global brand audits: Maintain, monitor, and coordinate compliance audits for international retail clients (including social compliance, health, and safety standards).
3. Factory certifications: Oversee the implementation and upkeep of factory certifications such as OEKO-TEX, and global recycling standards relevant to apparel labeling.
4. Risk management: Conduct regular internal risk assessments across manufacturing lines to proactively identify and resolve operational bottlenecks or policy violations.
5. Health & safety (EHS): Collaborate with plant management to enforce strict environmental health and safety (EHS) workplace policies.
6. Policy implementation: Update internal codes of conduct and deliver continuous compliance and ethical training to staff.

Candidate profile

1. Geographical requirement: Candidates must reside within the Ekala or Ja-Ela area to ensure proximity to the manufacturing plant and ease of daily operational support.
2. Education: Diploma in business administration, human resources, or an engineering/manufacturing discipline.
3. Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management, ideally within the apparel, printing, or manufacturing sector.
4. Knowledge: Strong familiarity with local labor laws, BOI regulations, and international social compliance framework standards.
5. Skills: Exceptional analytical ability, sharp attention to detail, and powerful communication skills to liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
6. Attributes: High ethical standards, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work efficiently under strict audit timelines.
