Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) specializes in nanotechnology research & development to create innovative products and add value to natural resources. SLINTEC aims to develop a world-class nanotechnology park in Sri Lanka by attracting investments and establishing collaborations with local as well as global companies. The park creates opportunities for all businesses to develop new products through a collaborative innovation process, taking them from research through development toward commercialization. We invite motivated individuals to join the team in the capacity of Executive Business Development.
Duties & responsibilities
- Identify potential clients and business opportunities and handle client communication.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Identify and capitalize on marketing opportunities through participation in exhibitions, trade shows, and seminars.
- Act as a liaison between scientists and clients and communicate effectively between scientific and non-scientific personnel.
- Promote the company’s products/services by addressing or anticipating clients’ objectives.
Required qualifications & experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, science, engineering, or a related field, with a basic understanding of and interest in scientific research.
- Experience and exposure to a research & development and business/finance environment would be a definite advantage.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with individuals across various roles and departments.
