Chief Operating Officer
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational direction to employees aligned with the company’s business plans and strategic direction
- Work with the executive team in growing and developing industry-leading practices, procedures, standards, and ways of working.
- Collaborate with CEO and CFO in achieving financial results in terms of profitability, sales, and cash flow
- Own company’s daily operations in terms of delivery, quality, and stability
- Set aspirational operational targets for all levels of operations in terms of delivery and quality, and ensure continuous improvement of operational excellence
- Establish effective and efficient measurement approaches to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of all the operational processes
- Establish consistency of existing ways of working and introduce new practices to drive results across all the divisions.
- Ensure operational management reporting is timely, decision-making friendly, and accurate
- Ensure robust operational forecasts, budgets, and resource planning practices are in place and operational.
- Ensure the daily well-being of employees at all levels from the point of view of motivation, satisfaction, growth, and work-life balance.
- Own operational results while holding the leaders at all operational levels accountable to achieve overall operational goals.
- Ensure operational decisions and management operations are done based on metrics and data while creating a culture of data-driven operations management
- Manage and improve relationships with clients and vendors.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience and results in operational leadership
- Being able to integrate functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.
- Demonstrated results in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Being able to motivate while holding the operations organization accountable to achieve set goals
- Data-driven and structured problem-solving skills
- Strong belief and action in performance coaching and management by being on the ground.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
