Manager – Modern Trade

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven modern trade manager to manage our modern trade accounts. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to drive sales, maximize revenue, and strengthen our market presence. You will manage a team of sales representatives and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve volume/revenue targets and market share growth in the modern trade channel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and chain stores, to drive product visibility and availability.
- Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure favorable terms and agreements that align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and activities tailored to the modern trade channel.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to stay ahead of industry trends and developments.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and key account activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record in modern trade sales management, ideally within FMCG or retail.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel to any part of Sri Lanka.
