Director – F & B Operations

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a visible, participatory leader who proactively and consistently engages with their Food and Beverage team and team members, and external clients and communicates/presents Food and Beverage Operation topics and initiatives to key stakeholders (clients, owners, team members)
  • Management of budgeted food and beverage sales, HR costs, food costs, and profitability
  • Responsible for maximizing performance while minimizing costs
  • Manage all Food & Beverage inquiries and ensure prompt follow-ups on the same working day
  • Maintain a strong, positive rapport with customers, team members, and departments
  • Review and process customer complaints and take corrective action when necessary to maintain increased customer satisfaction
  • Develop and direct planning and pricing of Waters Edge restaurant menus, package deals, promotions, etc
  • Remain up to date on current food/market trends and introduce new products, when necessary, in order to meet customer expectations and satisfaction.
  • Analyze, predict, monitor, and control food and HR costs
  • Monitor the Food and Beverage department’s actual and projected sales, ensuring revenue goals are achieved
  • Follow the food and safety regulations set by Waters Edge
  • Responsible for attending and representing the Food and Beverage Department at daily/weekly HOD meetings

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, commerce, or relevant discipline
  • Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management or Hospitality-related field.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Should be computer literate.
  • Ability to maintain a fair and reasonable working climate in order to obtain the maximum output from all concerned.
  • Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in Food and Beverage supervisory/management in a
    high-end hotel environment.

OR

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar area in the hospitality industry (culinary, event management menu, banquet service, etc.).

Remuneration will be on par with hospitality industry standards.
