Visiting Lecturers

We are seeking dynamic and qualified Lecturers to join our academic team in the following subject areas: Trainers – Tourism & Tour Guiding for online & physical lectures. We invite applications from individuals who are able to work in the Matale and Kurunegala areas, both physically and online.

Key responsibilities

1. Deliver online lectures and training sessions for assigned modules.
2. Develop and update teaching materials aligned with industry standards.
3. Conduct student assessments (assignments, presentations, case studies).
4. Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
5. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement.
6. Supervise and evaluate industry training (internship module).

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality management, or related field.
2. A master’s degree or professional qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
3. Minimum 3-5 years of industry and/or teaching experience.
4. Experience as a licensed tour guide (preferred for tour guiding modules).
5. Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
6. Familiarity with online teaching platforms (LMS, Zoom, etc.).

1. Industry exposure in the tourism and hospitality sector.
2. Practical knowledge of Sri Lankan and international tourism trends.
3. Student-centred teaching approach.
