Trainee / Assistant Purchasing Officer

Hotel Insight, a well-established beachfront hotel in Ahangama, is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Trainee / Assistant Purchasing Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional who is eager to build a career in procurement within the hospitality industry.

Candidate profile

1. School leavers / fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
2. Basic knowledge of procurement or supply chain processes will be an added advantage.
3. Part qualification or full qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
4. Good communication and negotiation skills.
5. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Computer literacy (MS Office).
8. Male candidates are preferred.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
2. Prepare and process purchase orders.
3. Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
4. Coordinate with internal departments on procurement needs.
5. Maintain proper documentation and records.
6. Support cost comparisons and purchasing decisions.
