Technical content engineer (electronics | IoT)

Closing on: Aug 11, 2026

About the company

NORVI Controllers is a Sri Lankan electronics design and manufacturing company building Industrial IoT hardware for factories, plants, and automation systems across Europe and North America. Our CE/EMC-certified controllers run in food processing facilities, HVAC systems, chemical plants, crane systems, and heavy machinery worldwide. We are a small, technical team with over a decade of real field experience — and more than 99% of our revenue comes from exports.

This is not a typical marketing role. You will work at the intersection of electronics engineering and technical communication — understanding how industrial hardware solves real-world problems, and translating that into content that reaches OEM engineers and system integrators internationally.

What you will do

  1. Research industrial application areas, market segments, and competitor positioning — and translate findings into product launch strategies and campaign briefs
  2. Lead the production of technical application guides, product explainers, and structured content for LinkedIn, YouTube, and the NORVI website
  3. Direct and brief the content and media team (video, graphics, web) on execution priorities and quality standards
  4. Maintain a consistent, credible technical voice across all NORVI content and communications
  5. Track content performance metrics and iterate strategy based on real engagement data
  6. Work closely with the founder and engineering team to accurately represent products, features, and use cases
  7. Support product launch planning for new NORVI hardware releases targeting international OEM markets

What we are looking for

  1. Degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a closely related technical field
  2. Strong written and spoken English — you can explain a circuit to an engineer and a business outcome to a buyer
  3. Genuine interest in how industrial systems, automation, and IoT technology work in the field
  4. Any prior exposure to technical writing, video production, content creation, or social media is a strong advantage — but not required
  5. Organised, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of a deliverable from start to finish
  6. Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team where your output is visible and directly impacts the business

Why this role is different

  1. Your content will reach industrial engineers and automation professionals in Europe and North America — not a local consumer audience
  2. Direct involvement in global market strategy and new product launches from day one
  3. Small team means high ownership, fast learning, and direct access to the founder and technical team
  4. You will build a body of work — application guides, product videos, campaign strategies — that is genuinely yours
  5. Southern Sri Lanka location: Midigama, Weligama — suitable for candidates from the Southern Province who prefer not to relocate to Colombo

Applications submitted without the short note will not be reviewed. We are a small team and we read every application carefully — we will respond to every candidate.
