Store Keeper

Leading gas, steel and hardware items distribution company situated in Makola, Kiribathgoda is seeking detail-oriented candidates to join our operation team.

Responsibilities

1. Keep accurate records of stock in and out (manual registers or software).
2. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when items need reordering.
3. Handle returns and damaged goods properly.
4. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the store/warehouse.
5. Supervise loading, unloading, checking, and proper storage of goods.
6. Coordinate with suppliers, drivers, and sales staff for smooth operations.
7. Monitor, guide, and allocate duties to store staff/helpers.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a store keeper/store in-charge, preferably in a hardware or retail environment.
2. Age 35 – 55.
3. Diploma/degree in storekeeping, inventory management, supply chain, or logistics.
4. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
5. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
6. Leadership skills to supervise and guide store staff/helpers.
