Senior Design Engineer – HVAC

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for design and develop HVAC systems
  2. Ensuring proposals are compliance with the company’s quality procedures, client’s requirement and relevant/latest industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy and goals.
  3. Providing technical inputs for preparation of design drawings, shop drawings, coordination of drawings and as-built drawings
  4. Overseeing the project’s conception, design and specifications and manage scheduling, estimating and securing materials
  5. Conducting research on new technologies in order to develop efficient designs for new HVAC systems
  6. Providing technical support to project staff regarding projects or issues related to HVAC systems
  7. Monitoring and carrying out quality check on progressive completed work
  8. Ensuring all paper works submission (e.g., Vendor Approval Submission, Project Reports and Schedule submission and works executed on sites are according to specification, drawings and project requirement)
  9. Co-ordinating with clients, consultants on the technical requirements and attend technical discussions and meeting with authorities, developer, and contractors

Minimum educational qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification

Work experience

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within building services / MEP engineering
  2. Proven experience in HVAC system design for MEP consultancy projects
  3. Experience in handling large-scale or complex building projects will be an added advantage
  4. Prior experience in the Maldives will be an added advantage

Technical skills

  1. Strong capability in designing and developing HVAC systems
  2. Proficiency in preparing design drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
  3. Experience in HVAC design calculations and system optimization
  4. Hands-on experience with MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  5. Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation
  6. Familiarity with ASHRAE, British, and European standards and relevant industry codes
