Senior design engineer (electrical ELV)

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for design and develop electrical systems and components.
2. Providing design support for ELV electrical services including design calculations and conceptual design drawings and creating detailed electrical schematics and diagrams.
3. Overseeing the project’s conception, design and specifications and manage scheduling, estimating and securing materials.
4. Ensuring proposals are compliance with the company’s quality procedures, client’s requirement and relevant/latest industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy and goals.
5. Ensuring all paper works submission (e.g., vendor approval submission, project reports and schedule submission and works executed on sites are according to specification, drawings and project requirement)
6. Monitoring and carrying out quality check on progressive completed work
7. Co-ordinating with clients, consultants on the technical requirements and attend technical discussions and meeting with authorities, developer, and contractors
8. Co-ordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and own teams including group representatives for implementation of the projects and ensuring it is being built correctly and timely delivery of works.

Minimum educational qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronic engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Work experience

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within building services / MEP engineering.
2. Proven experience in ELV system design including CCTV, fire alarm, access control, structured cabling, and other ELV systems.
3. Experience in handling commercial, residential, or large-scale projects will be an added advantage.
4. Prior experience in the Maldives will be an added advantage.

Technical skills

1. Strong capability in designing and developing ELV systems (CCTV, fire alarm, access control, etc.)
2. Proficiency in preparation of design drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
3. Experience in ELV system calculations, specifications, and system integration.
4. Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
5. Good understanding of relevant international standards and codes.
