Senior Accountant

Job role

1. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end closing
2. Prepare financial statements and ensure accuracy
3. Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
5. Coordinate with auditors and handle statutory audits
6. Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
7. Lead and mentor the accounting team
8. Monitor internal controls and improve financial processes

Requirements

1. CA, CMA, CIMA or ACCA fully/partially qualified or holder of an equivalent accounting degree.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
3. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks)
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent communication and leadership abilities
7. Age between 25 to 40 years
8. Preferably a person living closer to Mount Lavinia
