Role overview
Own the last-mile of Payable’s POS rollout: deploy and activate terminals at merchant locations, onboard businesses to our payment ecosystem, and provide first-line technical and commercial support across assigned territories. The role blends field sales, technical deployment and relationship management to drive adoption and transaction growth.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy, install and activate POS terminals at merchant locations across assigned territories.
- Onboard new merchants and walk them through device usage, settlements and best practices.
- Provide first-line technical support and resolve on-site issues quickly and professionally.
- Build strong merchant relationships to drive transaction volumes and product adoption.
- Coordinate with sales, operations and tech teams to close deployment loops on time.
- Maintain accurate field reports, device tracking and daily activity updates.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in field operations, sales or technical support.
- Basic technical knowledge of POS terminal devices and payment workflows.
- Strong communication and customer service skills in Sinhala/Tamil/English.
- Willingness to travel extensively; valid riding/driving licence required.
- Proactive, customer-focused and ready to thrive in field challenges.
