Research & Development Assistant

About the company

We are a growing company engaged in agrochemical, fertilizer, and agricultural input solutions, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our research & development team.

Key responsibilities

1. Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., registrar of pesticides, national fertilizer secretariat).
2. Prepare technical reports and support regulatory submissions.
3. Coordinate research projects, field trials, and product development activities.
4. Assist in experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
5. Maintain accurate research records and documentation.
6. Monitor project timelines and report progress.
7. Support new product development and innovation initiatives.
8. Manage procurement of packaging materials such as labels, bottles/cans, cartons, and related items.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a related field.
2. Prior experience in agrochemical/fertilizer R&D or regulatory affairs will be an added advantage.
3. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
4. Good communication skills in English and Sinhala; proficiency in Tamil will be an added advantage.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
