Project Quantity Surveyor

Key responsibilities

1. Costs associated with a construction project, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
2. Prepare intern payment applications, bills of quantities, which itemize the quantities and costs of materials and labor required for a construction project.
3. Certify contractor payment applications, ensuring that they accurately reflect the work completed and materials supplied.
4. Monitor costs and expenditures, identifying any variances from the budget and implementing cost-saving measures when necessary.
5. Create and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and do not exceed the allocated budget.

Qualifications and requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or NCT/HND qualified.
2. Professional membership (e.g., IQSSL) is an advantage.
3. Minimum 05 years of experience in highway, road, and building projects.
4. Knowledge of preparing intern payment applications.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
6. Should have good knowledge of the conditions of the contract and their application.
7. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
