We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and results-oriented individual to join our team in the following role:
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise with the planning team to confirm material availability and production capacity.
- Maintain and update production schedules, priorities, and relevant data in the ERP system with a high level of accuracy.
- Oversee the timely execution of production orders while minimizing machine downtime and labor idle time.
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate intercompany material transfers between unit 01 and unit 02, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with stores and logistics teams to prevent delays, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular reconciliation of physical stock against system records for WIP and transferred materials.
- Prepare and submit daily production reports.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding equipment breakdowns and follow up on corrective actions.
- Proactively communicate any risks or issues that may impact production schedules or delivery timelines.
Candidate profile
- Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Age between 25 – 30 years.
- Living close to Katunayake will be an added advantage.
