Procurement Executive

Responsibilities

1. Analyzing market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain risks to inform procurement strategies.
2. Developing category-specific sourcing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
3. Identifying opportunities for consolidation and strategic partnerships.
4. Creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
5. Coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials.
6. Tracking order status, expediting urgent requirements and managing delivery exceptions.
7. Maintaining accurate procurement documentation and records for audit purposes.
8. Implementing purchase approval workflows and authorization controls.
9. Implementing cost reduction initiatives through strategic negotiations and process improvements.

Applicant profile

1. Preferably over 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
2. Certificate/diploma level qualification from the Institute of Supply Chain Management/procurement/business administration or related field.
3. Proficiency in MS office and ERP systems.
4. Those residing in close proximity to Panadura will be given preference.
5. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
6. Experience in dealing with both local and international suppliers would be a definite advantage.
