New Philip Hospitals, established in 1955, is a 75-bed fully equipped private hospital situated along the southern coastal belt in Kalutara. Equipped with 03 operating theatres, 08 bed ICU SLAB, and ISO certified clinical laboratory with over 150 sample collecting centers, a 24-hour pharmacy, an emergency care unit, a dialysis unit, ambulances, and radiology unit that includes digital X-ray and CT scans, as well as 03 primary care centers situated in Nagoda, Beruwala, and Aluthgama.

Pharmacist

Key responsibilities

1. Dispensing prescribed medications and advising patients on their safe use.
2. Providing counseling to patients on the proper use of medication and possible side effects.
3. Monitoring the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals in accordance with relevant regulations.
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
5. Ensuring pharmacy compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
2. Candidate should be a qualified and register as a pharmacist in SLMC.
3. At least 03 year of experience in a hospital or reputed pharmacy.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pharmacy assistant

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
2. Maintaining pharmacy inventory and ensuring medications are stored correctly.
3. Managing and updating patient medication records.
4. Providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
5. Assisting in the preparation and delivery of stock orders.

Qualifications

1. A certificate or diploma in pharmacy assistance or related field.
2. Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage.
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
4. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
