Job purpose

The officer – health & safety is responsible for supporting and maintaining workplace health and safety standards across the organization. The role ensures compliance with company policies and legal regulations while promoting a safe, healthy, and accident-free working environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities

  1. Implement and monitor workplace health & safety practices
  2. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
  3. Support safety training and awareness programs
  4. Ensure compliance with company and legal safety requirements
  5. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions

Candidate profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical process engineering
  2. Basic qualification in NIOSH or NEBOSH
  3. Minimum 2+ years of experience in the health & safety field
  4. Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments will be an added advantage
  5. Good communication and coordination skills
  6. Ability to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and procedures
