.NET Developer

The role

As a .NET developer at XGenLabs, you’ll build and maintain ASP.NET Core applications for our clients — greenfield builds, platform upgrades, UI reskins, API integrations, and ongoing improvements to live systems.

You’ll work across the full stack: backend services, web UI, databases, testing, and Azure deployments. You’ll collaborate with our team, client stakeholders, and sometimes client engineering teams on active delivery.

Recent project types include multi-tenant web portals, payment platforms, CRM systems, and design-system UI implementations from Figma specs.

What you’ll do at XGenLabs

1. Build and maintain ASP.NET Core web applications and web APIs for client projects
2. Develop UI using Razor Pages / MVC, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
3. Implement designs from Figma specs — responsive, mobile-first, accessible
4. Work with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server
5. Integrate third-party systems and REST APIs
6. Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews
7. Deploy and support applications on Microsoft Azure
8. Work in Azure DevOps (or GitHub) — branches, PRs, CI/CD pipelines
9. Join client showcases, staging reviews, and production releases
10. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in staging and live environments

What we’re looking for

Must have

1. 3+ years commercial experience with C# and .NET (Core / 8+)
2. Strong ASP.NET Core — web API, Razor Pages, or MVC
3. Entity Framework Core and SQL Server
4. Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
5. Experience with Git and collaborative PR workflows
6. Understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and clean architecture
7. Strong attention to detail — especially UI quality and cross-browser behaviour
8. Clear communication — comfortable working with clients and and remote teams

Nice to have

1. Microsoft Azure — app service, functions, blob storage, key vault
2. Multi-tenant or white-label applications
3. Payment flows, scheduling systems, or regulated industries
4. xUnit / integration testing in .NET
5. WCAG 2.1 / accessibility awareness
6. Experience in a consultancy or agency delivering for external clients
7. Bootstrap, CSS design tokens, or design-system implementation
