Manager – Vehicle Parts & Warranty

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven manager – vehicle parts & warranty to lead and manage end-to-end parts operations and warranty administration for our exclusive EV dealership in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all warranty-related correspondence with overseas principals and local workshops while ensuring compliance with company and principal guidelines. This role also oversees procurement, inventory control, and parts distribution, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of warranty KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end warranty operations, including coordination with overseas principals and local workshops, claim submissions, follow-ups, approvals, recoveries, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and principal guidelines.
- Monitor warranty performance and records, ensuring assigned KPIs and recovery targets are achieved while maintaining accurate, complete, and audit-ready warranty documentation.
- Manage overall parts operations, including procurement, inventory control, storage, and timely distribution to workshops to ensure smooth operations and minimal vehicle downtime.
- Maintain effective inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete parts through best practices in parts planning.
- Lead and manage the parts and warranty team, overseeing daily operations, performance, budgeting, and cost-effective departmental activities.
- Prepare management reports and drive improvements, including warranty performance, parts usage, inventory status, cost analysis, and continuous process enhancements across parts and warranty functions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in parts and warranty operations within the automotive industry. (EV experience preferred)
- Degree in automobile engineering or higher training/certification in parts and warranty management systems.
- Strong understanding of overseas warranty processes and principal compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage targets and maintain warranty KPIs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and process improvement.
